So, four months later... I make another post. Sorry my life has been so crazy. I took a hiatus from blogging while the beginning of my junior year started. So what have I been up to this semester? A lot. Instead of writing literally everything that has happened, Ill show you guys!
I'm going on a cruise!!! I am so excited and am honestly counting down the hours till we leave. Me and my family are going on a 7 day cruise to the Bahamas! Below I have listed some of my favorite items that I packed! Being me, I packed about two weeks in advance because I couldn't wait. I'll make sure to upload some pictures when I get back! What are your essentials for a cruise?
It seems like whenever I am bored, I automatically revert to online shopping. Its an addiction, and its something that I never want to give up. I love looking at all the clothing and new pieces that come out every so often. But, unfortunately I am a struggling college student whose budget is not exactly reasonable. I mean $50+ dollars for a dress? No thank you. Over the years I have come across multiple and cheap online stores that I want to share with you guys!
1. HauteLook Hautelook is a flash sale type of website that has items ranging from clothes, to home goods to beauty products. It is a sister brand of Nordstrom and the products sold can range from High End items like Louis Vuitton and Kate Spade to more Low End no-name brands. It really depends on the sales that day. 2. Shein (Formerly Sheinside) This site is one of my favorites but you have to be careful. I stumbled upon this site a couple of years ago and with all the items really cheap (were talking under $10 tops and around $15 dresses) I wondered if the items held up. After placing mutiple orders on this site I can say that every item I ordered was true to the picture. While the quality may not be superb, most of the items I've received have been amazing. When shopping it helps to pick items that have "Style Galleries" so you can see other peoples opinions and what they actually look like! I also like this site because they take paypal which makes me feel safer when buying items. 3. Rue La La Rue La La is very similar to Hautelook, where they have flash sale events that change every day. There sale events tend to be focused on a main clothing piece rather than a brand. They have dress sales and shoe blowouts. Occasionally they will have brand events but in my opinion those tend to be more higher end brands. In addition to home and clothing this site also has travel, which is reduced hotels and places to stay. 4. Zulilly Zulilly is a site very similar to groupon where they have items for a reduced amount. This site is very hit or miss for me. Usually I don't find anything but once in a while they will have something good. I found a piko dress for $12 on this site before and it was one of my favorites! Happy Shopping! I've stumbled across the Sheinside site a few times and always go back and forth about ordering items. While a lot of their clothes are cheap, the quality differs with each item. I have placed two seperate orders with them before and most of the clothes I have gotten hold up. They look very similar to the pictures and are at an affordable price. I went on this weekend and may have spent a little too much.... Here's what I ordered Click here to shop!
I've been on a white kick lately and cannot get enough of the color (or would it be lack of the color?)... Anyway I think it looks so clean and fresh and I recently got these new white skinny jeans so I was excited to wear them out! Paired with a cute top and some sandals and I was ready to go.
Has anyone stumbled upon Marley Lilly's new sister website? Its kinda amazing! I love a lot of their clothes and some of them are very similar to designer brands. I've listed a couple below that I have found. What are your favorites?
Anyone else obsessed with the color yellow? I love it for summer! I feel like if you're wearing yellow people notice you more and to me, yellow means happiness. I think everyone needs a yellow sundress for summer! I've rounded up a few of my favorite yellow pieces to help make your summer bright and happy!
White is the perfect color for summer, it is so fresh and clean and pretty much goes with anything. The only problem, I am so pale that it always washes me out, but I managed to find a dress that I love! I recently saw this at Marshalls and fell in love with the scallops. Pair it with a bright clutch and a statement necklace and your ensemble is complete!
P.S. This starfish bracelet is amazing, it goes with everything and its perfect for summer!! I can never seem to keep the same computer background for more than one month. I just love switching them out and seeing something new every once and a while. So I have created a couple of different summery computer background for your guys! They are all Lilly Pulitzer (sorry not sorry), and I currently have the lobster (#3) background on my laptop right now. I added a fireworks one for Fourth of July too!!
Let me know if you have a particular pattern you want and I might be able to make it :) Palm prints are such a summer trend right now. They perfectly embody summer and the tropical island that we all want to get away to. I recently got these shorts from old navy (Similar romper here) and LOVE the style of them! I like that they are a little high wasted and that they zip on the side. I think it makes them look more expensive and I would never think that these are from old navy.
